(Includes dates from 8/18/24-8/3/25)
Thank you for your interest in signing up for Panther Rock! Please read the guidelines below carefully.
The purpose of Panther Rock is to promote school spirit and is intended to be used by only Penryn students and families. In addition, Panther Rock will be used to raise funds for future PTC-sponsored activities. We ask for your assistance in following the rules outlined below.
English Colony Rock
Upper Loop Rock
RENTING THE ROCK:
Reservations MUST be made via Cheddar Up to paint the Upper Loop Rock or English Colony Rock. A $35.00 donation is required to reserve the rock for a week (Sunday - Saturday). You must pay at the time of your reservation and a receipt from Cheddar Up will confirm your purchase.
Your reservation includes 1 week, from Sunday-Saturday.
The $35.00 donation is non-refundable. Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather, therefore, there will be no refunds if you are rained out and unable to paint the rock on your reserved week. In the event of unfortunate vandalism, Penryn PTC will NOT provide a refund, however, families are welcome to repaint during their reserved week.
PAINTING GUIDELINES:
Families must provide their own labor, paint, and supplies to paint the rock. Penryn PTC will not supply the paint nor will Penryn PTC paint the rock. The best paint base coat to use is 1-2 cans of spray paint.
Families are in charge of the proper removal and disposal of paint supplies and trash, including spray paint cans, paint cans, and paint brushes. The disposal must be off campus.
Only the rock can be painted. Painting on the fence or any other structure is prohibited. Damage or destruction to any school property will deem the family financially responsible for cleaning and repair costs. You must also use an over-spray tarp to protect the surrounding areas.
Panther Rock paintings MUST be in good taste and school-appropriate. Penryn will not allow any bullying, profanity, obscenity or derogatory language. Please refrain from any political or discriminatory remarks. If there is any question to the wording or symbols painted on the rock, Penryn staff reserves the right to remove/repaint the rock without notice. Penryn Staff will regularly monitor Panther Rock to ensure that paintings fall within the above-established guidelines.
The family painting the rock assumes liability for any individual or member of the group/organization who may be injured or who incur clothing or personal property damage.
This is meant to be a fun family activity. It is our expectation that Penryn families will show the utmost respect for our school property. By reserving a date, you agree to adhere to the above-mentioned guidelines.
